Grab the extra water bottle, temperatures are heating up this afternoon!

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) — WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking a drier start to the week with more rain arriving midweek and continuing into the weekend.

Most areas stay dry through this afternoon, with only isolated storms possible later this evening and overnight. Because we aren't expecting a lot of ran coverage until this evening, temperatures will soar into the low to mid 90s, with heat index values into the triple digits for many.

Monday

Monday is off to a noticeably more humid start, with higher humidity and temperatures starting in the 70s. Plan for the heat as temperatures soar into the low to mid 90s. "Feels like" temperatures will range from 98 - 103°. The afternoon will stay on the dry side with isolated storms (30% coverage) moving towards the coast throughout the late-evening and overnight hours.

Tuesday

Tuesday will start of muggy and mild. Another warm, humid day is in the forecast with highs in the low to mid-90s. Scattered afternoon and evening storms become more common. 

Wednesday

On Wednesday moisture continues to build, bringing a better chance for scattered afternoon and evening storms . Highs remain in the low to mid-90s.
