Law enforcement responds to vehicle crash blocking Estero intersection

LEE COUNTY, Fla. (WINK) — The Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol are responding to a vehicle crash near the intersection of US-41 and Coconut Road. 

Law enforcement responded to the scene at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, stating that the westbound lanes at Palma De Coco are blocked and the eastbound lanes are being diverted to Coconut Road. 

The Florida Highway Patrol website cites this crash as a fatality; however, our team is working to confirm that information with law enforcement. 

It remains unclear how many vehicles are involved or how long the roadways will remain blocked.
