Warrior Homes of Collier is continuing its mission to end veteran homelessness in Collier County with the addition of its newest residence, the Zulu Project, later this year.
Donations for completing the renovation of the building continue to come in, including one that took place recently in Naples as part of the opening of the newest Home Depot store. Nearly 200 people attended the event, which featured the Lely High School band, a presentation of the colors, and Home Depot’s traditional delivery of the American flag by fire truck.
Home Depot’s philanthropic efforts have focused on preventing veteran homelessness, and store manager Jan Pabey continued that by presenting Warrior Homes Founder and President Dale Mullin with a check for the Zulu Project.
“On behalf of Warrior Homes of Collier, we really want to thank Home Depot for this check for $5,000. It goes a long way toward helping us end veteran homelessness in Collier County,” Mullin said.
When complete, the Zulu Project will become the seventh residence operated by Warrior Homes and will house 20 veterans.
