A convicted fentanyl trafficker has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after a jury found him guilty in May, according to the Collier County Sheriff's Office.
In a Facebook post, CCSO said Thomas Archie Johns, 54, from Naples, sold a trafficking amount of fentanyl to an undercover detective back in July 2025. During his arrest, deputies found a half-ounce of the opioid in his pants pocket.
Johns still faces a second charge of fentanyl trafficking stemming from a CCSO investigation that is pending in court.
"This sentence sends a clear message that if you traffic fentanyl in Collier County, we will find you, arrest you and work tirelessly to put you behind bars,” said Sheriff Kevin Rambosk. “Fentanyl is a poison that destroys lives and devastates families. Thanks to the terrific work of our Vice and Narcotics Bureau detectives and the State Attorney’s Office a dangerous drug trafficker has been removed from our community.”
