Lee County announces temporary community pools closure, extended summer hours

Lee County Parks and Recreation is reminding swimmers that community pools will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday for staff training.

According to Lee County, the following pools are closed temporarily on June 10 and 11 for annual lifeguard testing:

-Lehigh Acres Community Pool

-North Fort Myers Community Pool

-Pine Island Community Pool

-San Carlos Community Pool

The pools will reopen at noon on Thursday.

Following the temporary closure of the community pools, Lee County announced that extended summer hours will begin for the pools on June 13 and end on August 8. The hours are as follows:

Sunday: 1 p.m.-6 p.m

Monday: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Tuesday: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

Wednesday: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Thursday: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

Friday: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Saturday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
