The Lee County Tax Collector’s Office said it will close its North Fort Myers service center on July 31.According to the tax collector's news release, the agency is preparing for the future opening of the new Colonial Service Center in late 2026, while the facility lease in North Fort Myers is set to expire in August 2027.The release states the agency can reduce unnecessary costs and make the best use of taxpayer resources by planning ahead and reusing existing equipment and furnishings.Customers will have access to services at the North Fort Myers office through the end of July, and then at one of the other five service centers throughout the county.
