LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. (WINK)- A man was arrested on Saturday after being accused of shooting a BB gun at a Lee County Sheriff's Office drone
According to LCSO, the sheriff's office's drone was launched to assist deputies responding to a call near Todd Avenue South. While monitoring the area, the drone operator saw a group of men carrying what appeared to be a gun.
Moments later, one of the individuals, later identified as Elvin Antonio Callejas-Serrato, pointed the weapon at the drone. He then appeared to fire two rounds in its direction.

Deputies responded immediately and apprehended Callejas-Serrato. During the investigation, deputies recovered a BB rifle loaded with steel projectiles.
"Our Drone First Responder allows us to quickly respond and keep both our deputies and community safe." said Sheriff Carmine Marceno. "If you threaten or harm law enforcement resources, you will be held accountable."
Callejas-Serrato has been charged with shooting or throwing deadly missiles into an aircraft.
