Cape Coral homeowner arrested after underage kids attend social media house party with drugs

A man was arrested in Cape Coral after police shut down a large house party involving minors.According to the Cape Coral Police Department, on June 12, officers responded to reports of a disturbance possibly involving weapons at a home on Diplomat Parkway West.Officers were told that a fight was occurring at the location, and weapons may be involved. Additionally, officers were told that several females were locked in a bedroom and cocaine may be present, CCPD said.Upon arriving at the house, officers encountered an individual who denied any knowledge of a disturbance with weapons. Officers entered the house through the open front door due to the nature of the call, in an attempt to ensure the safety of the occupants.Officers entered and found the reports of a disturbance to be unsubstantiated; however, officers did discover what appeared to be around 30 people, many of whom appeared to be minors, attending a house party, CCPD said.Numerous alcoholic beverages were in plain view, with some being actively consumed, as well as marijuana, officers said. Officers then began an investigation into a house party involving underage individuals.Several minors in the home told officers that they attended the house party after seeing it advertised on social media. Others told officers they had been instructed to bring additional guests.Officers then made contact with the resident of the home, identified as Samir Mukovic, 25, CCPD said.
