A North Fort Myers woman was arrested after officers with the Cape Coral Police Department say she stole from a home and was in possession of identifying documents not belonging to her.According to CCPD, officers responded to a residence at 10 a.m. on Monday for a burglary in progress. Surveillance camera footage reportedly showed the suspect walking around the property with a bicycle and a backpack. Officers later located a woman inside the screened patio area of the residence.Officers said Regina McBride, 40, was observed near a rear sliding glass door that showed fresh pry marks. Officers also say they found tools consistent with forced entry nearby.CCPD's Property Crimes Division took over the investigation, recovering items such as pry tools, bolt cutters, gloves and zip ties. Detectives also found credit cards and identification documents belonging to other individuals, including property belonging to the homeowner.CCPD says McBride admitted to being in the residence and was found to be in possession of a backpack she knew contained burglary tools.
