The Port Charlotte Library is permanently closing its doors on July 11 after serving the community for 65 years. Charlotte County Libraries & History will host a farewell ceremony starting at 10:30 a.m., and a community barbecue from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the library's last day. The event will include food, music, and historical displays.
