The Lee County Supervisor of Elections has begun mailing updated voter information cards to voters affected by congressional redistricting changes ahead of the 2026 election cycle.According to the Elections Office, around 109,000 voters across Lee County will receive updated voter information cards reflecting changes from Florida's new congressional district map, which was signed into law by Gov. DeSantis last month and approved by the Florida Supreme Court last week. The new map affects tens of thousands of Southwest Florida residents, with major changes in Lee County. The line between District 17 and District 19 was redrawn, and some voters have swapped districts based on where they are located. In addition to the district changes, the Elections Office said it is also sending updated voter information cards to approximately 45,000 voters with changes to their polling place location or name.“Our priority is to make sure voters are aware of changes to their congressional district or polling place before the primary election so they are prepared to vote,” said Lee County Supervisor of Elections Jenna Persons-Mulicka. “I encourage voters to carefully review their updated voter information card and to reach out to my office for any questions.”Voters can view their personalized voter information, including their congressional district, here.DOWNLOAD the free Gulf Coast News app for your latest news and alerts on breaking news, weather, sports, entertainment, and more on your phone or tablet.
