SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) — WINK Listens is about more than gathering community concerns. It's about creating meaningful connections, sharing stories, and ensuring local voices are heard.
Every conversation matters.
Whether it's a handshake, a smile, or a heartfelt discussion, those simple interactions help strengthen your voice and the community connection.
For the WINK News team, showing up in neighborhoods across Southwest Florida—it's about listening.
Community members who attend WINK Listens events often express appreciation for the opportunity to connect directly with reporters and share what matters most to them.
"Well, I'm enjoying WINK and seeing WINK on TV, and y'all are doing a great job," one community member said.
Those conversations also provide insight into the challenges people face every day. Many share concerns about issues affecting their families, finances, and future.
One man spoke about the growing strain caused by rising costs.
"In my prayers every night, I'm just saying prayers, hoping somebody will wake up and stop this. Look at the price of gas, look at the cost of food, you know, most of it has pretty much doubled in the past couple of years," he said.
By listening to concerns like these, WINK News gains a deeper understanding of the issues impacting local communities. The goal is not simply to hear those concerns, but to amplify them, investigate them, and get results for you.
The next WINK Listens will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on June 18 at the Doyle Conner Building, located at 900 US 27 in Moore Haven.
