HENDRY COUNTY, Fla. (WINK) — A body was found floating in the Caloosahatchee River near the State Road 29 drawbridge Saturday morning.
The Hendry County Sheriff's Office received a call at approximately 11:45 a.m. from someone who reported seeing what appeared to be a body in the water. Deputies responded to the scene and were able to locate the body and move it toward the riverbank.
Detectives have identified the man found, but have not released the information yet. They also said there are no signs of foul play and that they are attempting to locate the next of kin.
The sheriff's office said it will provide updates as more information becomes available.
