Fort Myers man charged with DUI after 2-car crash injures 3 on MLK Boulevard

FORT MYERS, Fla. (WINK)—One man is behind bars following a two-vehicle crash in Fort Myers.

Police say Jose Cardenas-Cardona is facing multiple charges, including driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The crash happened at the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Ford Street around 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

Three people suffered minor injuries in the crash. Two of those individuals were transported to the hospital.

Police say Jose Cardenas-Cardona was taken into custody following the incident.

The Fort Myers Police Department says the crash remains under investigation.
