Labelle woman arrested, accused of drunk driving the wrong way on I-75

LEE COUNTY, Fla. (WINK)— Florida Highway Patrol troopers stopped a wrong-way driver on Interstate 75 early June 21.

Troopers responded to reports of an SUV traveling south in the northbound lanes at mile marker 150 at 2:31 a.m. The vehicle was located at mile marker 143 at the Bayshore Road exit four minutes later.

Troopers performed a Precision Immobilization Technique, which rotated the SUV and brought it to a stop. The driver was placed under arrest. Ana Cassandra Arreola, 28, was booked into the Lee County Jail on a charge of driving under the influence. Her blood alcohol content was .161.
