Special guest George Washington joined the "Imagine That" crew on Wednesday to talk about what it took to found the nation.
On this date, 250 years ago, the Second Continental Congress was preparing for the signing of the Declaration of Independence, set to occur in 10 days.
The committee responsible for drafting the document included Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Robert Livingston, and Roger Sherman, who were finalizing their draft to present to Congress in a few days.
During this historic period, an assassination attempt on George Washington also took place, adding tension to the nation's founding moments. Washington makes a guest appearance in this reflection on the events leading up to the Declaration.
IMAG is also home to 10 different summer camps. So, now that school is out, the fun can start, but the learning doesn't have to stop. Each one lasts five days, and your child can explore different topics from space to storms and even time itself.
Book your child's summer camp now on their website.
