OCHOPEE, Fla. (WINK) — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced on Thursday at the Dade-Coller Training that the detention facility "Alligator Alcatraz" is winding down.
The detention facility was first opened on July 1.
DeSantis is being accompanied by White House Border Czar Tom Homan and Florida State Board of Immigration Enforcement Executive Director Anthony Coker at the detention facility.
