A Cape Coral man has a new warrant out for his arrest after he was accused of violating the terms of his probation, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.
Crime Stoppers says Juan Falcon, 38, was initially arrested after he was pulled over by officers for a traffic stop. Officers said he was driving erratically and swerving across lanes.
During the stop, officers said Falcon was skittish and could not provide a driver's license. When he was asked to get out of the car, Falcon did so with a baggie that he refused to let go of, clutched in his hand, Crime Stoppers says.
While Falcon was being handcuffed, Crime Stoppers says, he put the baggie in his mouth and swallowed it. The baggie contained fentanyl, Falcon reportedly admitted, and he was rushed to the hospital.
After Falcon's release, he was arrested on charges of tampering with evidence and resisting. He pled guilty to his charges and was sentenced to 24 months of probation, which he is accused of violating after Crime Stoppers says he tested positive for fentanyl in his system.
Falcon is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 145 pounds and will be held without bond upon his arrest.
