FHP uses PIT maneuver to stop erratic driver on I-75 in Lee County

LEE COUNTY, Fla. (WINK)—Florida Highway Patrol arrested a driver on Interstate 75 after they refused to pull over during a traffic stop.

FHP responded to I-75 near Mile Marker 125 in Lee County for a be-on-the-lookout vehicle that was driving erratically and unable to maintain its lane. Troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver would not pull over.

FHP conducted a successful PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle. The driver was arrested without further incident and was transported to county jail.

The driver faces charges of DUI and fleeing.
