Investigators with the Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement said they conducted an operation regarding a reportedly unlicensed moving company in Fort Myers that led to arrests of the owner and operator and of an associate.
According to OALE, they made contact with the two men of the company Move4U who were operating a Penske rental truck, reportedly associated with a scheduled move.
Officials said the owner, Christopher John Duffy, was reportedly violating Florida’s mover registration requirements. He faces a charge of operating as an unlicensed mover and a violation of state probation that stemmed from a prior grand theft conviction related to his activities in the industry.
Bruce Mullins was arrested on outstanding felony warrants for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault, and leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, OALE said. He was taken to the Lee County Jail.
