Watermain break in Lee County affects over 500 residents

A watermain break on Winkler Road and Timber Run in Lee County has left over 500 residents without water, according to Lee County Utilities.

Lee County Utilities said a 12-inch valve broke last night at about 9 p.m. Crews are currently working to fix the issue, and water is expected to be restored within the hour or by 9 a.m.

Residents impacted by the watermain break have been notified through door hangers.

Lee County Utilities said once the water is back on, a boil water notice will be put into effect.
