NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. (WINK) — The National Weather Service in Tampa Bay has confirmed that a brief EF-0 tornado touched down in the neighborhood of Tamiami Village and RV Park on Sunday at approximately 5:14 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service in Tampa Bay, the tornado produced estimated peak winds of 65 mph.
The tornado caused roof damage to two mobile homes in North Fort Myers. Survey findings indicate the tornado briefly touched down, lifting about two-thirds of the roof from one mobile home and removing the roof from a porch on another.

A video showing lofted, circulating debris supported the determination that a tornado briefly touched down in the area.
No injuries have been reported.

The tornado was rated EF-0 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale, the lowest rating for tornado intensity, with estimated winds between 65 and 85 mph.
