1 hospitalized after lightning strikes house in Cape Coral

A person was hospitalized after the Cape Coral Fire Department said a house was struck by lightning on Monday night.

The house is on Northwest 35th Avenue off of Kismet Parkway. A family member said the person hospitalized is expected to recover, and the family is doing OK.

There was smoke in the attic, the fire department said.
