FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. (WINK) — If you're looking for a place to celebrate Independence Day, Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach is making it easy to spend the entire day by the Gulf for everyone.
The resort is hosting an all-day Fourth of July celebration packed with live music, food and drink specials, and one of the best spots to watch the annual Fort Myers Beach fireworks display.
The festivities begin in the morning with the annual Fort Myers Beach Fourth of July Parade. The parade starts at Bay Oaks Recreation Center at 10 a.m. and travels down Estero Boulevard, ending at Times Square directly in front of Margaritaville. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, as the Matanzas Pass Bridge will close from 9 a.m. until noon for the parade.
The celebration doesn't stop after the parade. Throughout the holiday weekend, guests can enjoy live entertainment across the resort. TC and the Troublemakers kick things off Thursday evening, followed by Rock Republic on Friday night. On Independence Day, Pure Country takes the stage at the License to Chill Theatre from 7 to 10 p.m.
DJs will be throughout the property, keeping things lively and also having fun games and a massive 4th of July beach ball.
Food and drink specials will also be available, along with limited edition America 250 merchandise in the resort's retail store.
The celebration wraps up with the Fort Myers Beach fireworks show, which begins around 9 p.m. Guests can watch from Margaritaville's second-floor terrace at License to Chill or from the beachfront near Lah De Dah Beach Bar for a front-row view of the display over the Gulf.
For those planning a holiday getaway, the resort is also offering special lodging discounts, including savings for Florida and Georgia residents, making it even easier to turn the Fourth of July into a long weekend at the beach.
