Officers with the Marco Island Police Department responded to the Goodland Boat Ramp on Tuesday after they received a call about a vessel crash.
MPD says their Marine Unit was notified of the crash at around 3:30 p.m. When they made contact with the operator, officers say she did not sustain any serious injuries. She declined medical treatment.
MPD is reminding residents that anyone operating a personal watercraft should always wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket, operate at a safe speed, stay aware of other boaters and avoid reckless maneuvers.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
