Arcadia man gets 30-year prison sentence for traveling to Philippines to sexually abuse children

An Arcadia man was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for traveling to the Philippines and sexually abusing minors, including one as young as eight years old, over the course of several years.

Vincent Anthony Principe, 55, pleaded guilty to the crimes on April 30. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida, Principe sexually abused four children, documented the abuse on video, and published the videos on a website featuring child exploitation content. Court documents say he possessed over a hundred images of child sexual abuse material.

After his release, Principe will be on a lifetime supervised release and must also register as a sex offender.
