Naples Mayor Teresa Heitmann appears in court for status update in probation case

NAPLES, Fla. (WINK) — Naples Mayor Teresa Heitmann appeared in a Collier County courtroom Monday for a status update in her probation case stemming from a 2024 DUI conviction.

Court records allege Heitmann violated the terms of her probation after testing positive for cannabinoids in March.

She has not been adjudicated in the alleged violation.

Attorneys on both sides agreed to continue the case, with a new hearing scheduled for Aug. 17 at 10 a.m.

A separate date may be set for a longer evidentiary hearing, according to court discussion.

Heitmann was previously sentenced to one year of probation after accepting a plea deal in the DUI case.

She did not comment following her latest court appearance.
