Crime stoppers search for burglar who broke into Fort Myers lanais two nights in a row

FORT MYERS, Fla. (WINK)—Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers and the Fort Myers Police Department are searching for a man who broke into a screened lanai and stole personal items on back-to-back days.

The burglaries happened in the early morning hours of June 3 and June 4 at The Enclave Apartments on Central Avenue. The suspect entered through a hole in the screen during both incidents.

Police said the man wore the same sweatshirt during both break-ins. 

Investigators released images of the suspect in hopes someone would recognize him or the distinctive sweatshirt.
