FORT MYERS, Fla. (WINK) — If you're searching for an activity that gets everyone off their phones and working together, Escapades Escape Rooms in Fort Myers is inviting Southwest Floridians to put their puzzle-solving skills to the test. Beat the record time in one of its escape rooms, and you could walk away with a grand prize.
Located on College Parkway, the locally owned attraction offers private, story-driven escape room experiences where players have 60 minutes to crack codes, solve puzzles and complete a mission before time runs out.
Guests can choose from three immersive adventures, each with its own unique storyline and level of difficulty. First-time players can step into Aunt Elsie's Inheritance, a lighthearted mystery filled with hidden clues and unexpected twists. Those looking for more of a challenge can take on The Country Club Caper, while experienced escape room fans may enjoy Circus of Secrets: Mystery of Madam Paisley, the venue's most difficult game.
What sets Escapades apart is that every room was designed and built entirely by hand from the ground up. Each experience features handcrafted sets, hidden compartments and dozens of puzzles, locks and codes that players must solve to make their escape. No two rooms are alike, giving returning guests a completely different challenge each time they visit.
Owner Michael DeWitt recently purchased the business and wanted to find a creative way to bring in more visitors during Southwest Florida's slower summer season.
"I wanted a way to get people to challenge themselves and talk about the business," DeWitt said. "When I started going through the rooms myself, I realized they were tough, so I wanted to create something that would get people excited and spread the word."
Now, anyone who beats the current record time in any of the three escape rooms can choose between a four-day, three-night cruise or $500 in cash.
DeWitt said the promotion has already generated excitement among both customers and employees.
"I was speaking to my employees about it, and even they said it was a cool promotion," DeWitt said. "We just want to give people a great experience and an incentive to challenge themselves while getting people in the door."
Whether you're trying an escape room for the first time or looking to set a new record, Escapades Escape Rooms offers an experience that's equal parts mystery, adventure and teamwork—with the chance to earn more than just bragging rights.
