Marco Island woman accused of theft, hitting employee with shoe at Bell Tower store

Lee County deputies arrested a woman accused of stealing items from the Nordstrom Rack in Bell Tower, kicking an employee and hitting him in the back of the head with a shoe.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the Nordstrom Rack after an employee tried to recover stolen merchandise from a woman leaving the store. Deputies say the suspect, Mylena Greene, 38, repeatedly kicked an employee before returning and hitting him in the back of the head with a shoe.

Deputies say Greene and other suspects drove away from the scene and tried to hide themselves by covering the license plate of the car they were driving in. Deputies found the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.

During the stop, LCSO says Greene admitted to taking the merchandise from the store and being involved in the altercation. When deputies moved to arrest her, Greene reportedly violently resisted, kicking multiple deputies and attempting to grab at a deputy's stun gun.

Greene was eventually arrested and charged with battery, petit theft, three counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and depriving law enforcement of means of protection or communication.

Another person who was with Greene, Felton Heath, 39, was also arrested and faces a petit theft charge.
