The annual back-to-school sales tax holiday starts on Monday, giving shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain school-related items without paying sales tax.
During this period, sales tax will be waived on specific items if they meet price requirements. Clothing, footwear, wallets, backpacks, and other bags are tax-free if they cost $100 or less per item.
Additionally, computers priced at $1,500 or less, when purchased for personal use, are also included in the tax exemption. School supplies are eligible for the tax holiday as well.
The sales tax holiday runs through August 20.
