Car fire leads deputies to man wanted on DUI warrant in Collier County

What started as a response to a vehicle fire ended with a man being arrested on an outstanding DUI warrant in Collier County.

According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a car fire at around 3 p.m. Thursday at a home in North Naples.

While investigating the fire, deputies made contact with the homeowner, identified as Dominick F. Delia, 36.

Deputies confirmed Delia had an active warrant for a violation of probation stemming from a DUI case. Deputies arrested Delia and transported him to the Naples Jail Center.

According to the arrest report, the warrant was issued on May 14th.

The cause of the vehicle fire has not been released.
