Death investigation underway in Port Charlotte

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (WINK)—  A death investigation is underway in Charlotte County.

The investigation is happening inside a home on Rock Creek Drive in Port Charlotte. 

A WINK News viewer who appears to live next door sent in photos of the scene. The property is taped off, and the Charlotte County Emergency Response Team is on scene along with a command center.

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office said this is an isolated incident. There is no threat to the public.

WINK News is working to find out what happened, if there were any arrests and the latest in the investigation.
