Lee County deputies arrested three men Friday afternoon outside the Morgan and Morgan offices at the University Park Office Complex on University Drive off College Parkway.
Witnesses said they saw at least two suspicious individuals enter the office building as a helicopter circled overhead. Moments later, they say they saw law enforcement, including multiple deputies, K-9 units, officers wearing masks, and the tactical narcotics team, rush into the building.
One witness said the men appeared to be trying to hide inside the building.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office says they were reportedly searching for a vehicle that had fled from a traffic stop on Thursday.
Deputies arrested the driver, Cesar Reyes-Juarez, along with passengers John Carlos Reyes-Juarez and Luis Rodriguez. Both Reyes-Juarez men face traffic violation charges, while Rodriguez is charged with a probation violation.
All three have prior arrest records in Lee County.
LCSO said the vehicle was located in the parking garage, and a property manager confirmed that deputies towed it away.
Nearby witnesses said it was unusual to see the sheriff’s helicopter and law enforcement activity unfold outside the legal offices in the middle of the day.
