NAPLES, Fla. (WINK) — Patty Baker Humane Society Naples is offering reduced adoption fees on eligible dogs and cats through July 26 as part of the BISSELL Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters adoption event.
Adoption fees for eligible adult and senior dogs and cats will be reduced to $70 or less at both the main shelter and the von Arx Adoption Center during the three-week event. The reduced fees apply to spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped pets.
"Every animal deserves a loving home," said Becca Morris, CEO of Patty Baker Humane Society Naples. "Our partnership with BISSELL Pet Foundation helps remove one potential barrier to adoption while showcasing the many wonderful adult and senior animals in our care."
Empty the Shelters is one of the nation's largest funded adoption events. The program helps more shelter pets find homes by sponsoring a portion of adoption fees at participating shelters nationwide.
Adult and senior pets often wait longer to be adopted, despite making wonderful companions. Many are already house-trained, have established personalities and adjust quickly to their new homes.
All PBHSN adoptions include spay or neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, a microchip and other essential care. Staff works closely with adopters to match each pet with a home that fits their lifestyle and expectations.
Community members interested in adopting can visit either PBHSN location through July 26.
Adoption hours at the main shelter, located at 370 Airport-Pulling Road North, are 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The von Arx Adoption Center, located at 2400-7 Immokalee Road, is open from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
