SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) — WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking Tropical Storm Bertha as it drifts farther away from Southwest Florida and has a lessening impact on our local weather.
Off to a drier start this Wednesday with a stray coastal shower possible. We'll see isolated storms (30% coverage) develop inland in the mid-afternoon before they track slowly to the west. Storms can impact some of our coastal communities in the late-afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be a bit hotter, with highs in the mid-90s. Temperatures will feel more like 102-107°.
Dry start Thursday morning with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Temperatures climb fast and turn a bit hotter with highs in the mid to upper 90s. "Feels like" temperatures will range from 103 - 108°. While the morning starts dry, isolated storms (30% coverage) develop in the early afternoon and continue building west and towards the coast throughout the afternoon and evening.
Plan for a dry start Friday with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. We'll see a bit more rain in the forecast for your Friday plans with scattered storms (40% coverage) expected throughout the afternoon and evening. Storms look to taper off for any plans you may have late Friday evening and overnight. Temperatures will be quite hot, with highs in the mid-90s.
