Estero Fire Rescue to host career expo

ESTERO, Fla. (WINK) — Anyone interested in a career in the fire service will have the opportunity to meet firefighters, tour a station and learn about career opportunities during the Estero Fire Rescue Career Expo on Saturday.

The event will take place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Estero Fire Rescue Station 45, located at 18743 Corkscrew Road in Estero.

According to Estero Fire Rescue, the expo is designed for people interested in learning more about a career in the fire service and what it takes to join the department.

Visitors will have the chance to:

• Meet members of the Estero Fire Rescue team
• Tour Station 45
• Participate in a question-and-answer session
• Learn about career opportunities within the department
• See firefighting equipment and training demonstrations

The department said the event will highlight careers focused on service, teamwork and community, while giving attendees a behind-the-scenes look at daily operations.

The event's slogan is "Answer the Call. Make a Difference."
