The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will close the entire I-75 and Pine Ridge Road interchange at Exit 107 this weekend to repave the roadway.
Whether you are heading to the beach, running errands, or traveling across Collier County, drivers should expect detours and possible delays if their route includes Exit 107 or surrounding roads.
For those who usually exit at Pine Ridge Road, FDOT advises using Vanderbilt Beach Road to the north or Golden Gate Parkway to the south, then taking Livingston Road or other local streets. Even if you are just passing through the area, allow extra travel time as traffic could back up.
The repaving is part of a larger project that includes new ramps, traffic signals, pedestrian and bike improvements, and a diverging diamond interchange design intended to reduce congestion and improve safety for years to come.
Drivers are urged to give themselves extra time, watch for signs, and stay alert while traveling through the area.
