Estero man wanted after victim says he strangled them with a belt, hit them with a skateboard

An Estero man is wanted after he was accused of beating up a man, strangling him and hitting him over the head with a skateboard, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.

Crime Stoppers says that a victim was walking back to his home in Lehigh Acres after going to a bar. The victim said he was dropped off by a stranger, and that when he exited the car a man came up to him and began hitting him.

The victim also said that the man, identified as "Will," tried to strangle him with a belt and then hit him in the head with a skateboard. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

"Will" was later identified as William Harrell, 36, according to Crime Stoppers. Harrell was last known to be living in East Fort Myers and upon his arrest will be charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
