A Lehigh Acres man is wanted after being accused of violating his probation following his arrest on drug possession charges.
According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, a license plate reader alerted deputies to a stolen car being driven by Henry Johnson, 36. While in the process of pulling Johnson over, deputies noticed him throw items out of the car window before coming to a complete stop.
Deputies questioned Johnson, who denied knowing that the car was stolen and said he had borrowed it from someone named Chad, Crime Stoppers said. He also denied knowing anything about the items being tossed out of the window.
The items thrown out of the window were identified as bags of crack cocaine, Crime Stoppers said. Johnson was arrested and served a five-month sentence before being placed on 36 months of probation.
According to Crime Stoppers, last week, Johnson tested positive for cocaine and weed in his system, prompting his probation officer to recommend a sentence of 60 months in prison.
Johnson has a dozen prior arrests on charges including robbery. He is 5'9", weighs 200 pounds, and will be held without bond upon his arrest.
