One person was detained in North Fort Myers after a wellness check escalated into a barricade scene on Tuesday. According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a residence on Second Way and Cabana Avenue in response to a wellness check. The wellness check quickly escalated after an individual barricaded themself, LCSO said. The individual has since been detained.
