SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) — WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking breezy conditions over the next few days, leading to poor boating conditions and a high rip current risk for all Southwest Florida beaches.
While not looking too wet, plan for a few showers (20% coverage) through the morning commute. Wednesday will be a bit drier with isolated storms (30% coverage) expected thanks to a stronger west wind and a bit of drier air. Wind gusts will range from 20 to 30 mph and is leading to a high risk for rip currents along the coast. High temperatures will reach the lower 90s.
Plan for a mild and humid start Thursday morning with a few showers (20% coverage) possible. Isolated storms (30%) will be in the forecast throughout the midday and afternoon hours as they build farther East of I-75. Breezy conditions continue with gusts up to 30 mph. Highs will be seasonal and in the lower 90s.
Stray showers will be possible for the Friday morning commute. Isolated storms (30% coverage) will once again pop up midday and continue to move East throughout the afternoon. While not as breezy as the last few days, Friday can still be breezy at times in the afternoon. Highs top out in the lower 90s.
