A man was arrested in Lee County on Wednesday after being accused of stealing a chain off someone's neck and then riding away on a tricycle. According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the area of Orange River Boulevard regarding a robbery that had just taken place. The victim said that a man had run up to them, ripped the chain off their neck, and pushed them to the ground. LCSO said the suspect, identified as Paul Sloan, 57, then fled the scene on a tricycle and hid in a nearby wooded area. Deputies located Sloan standing next to the tricycle used in the robbery. Sloan was arrested and faces a charge of robbery by sudden snatching.
