Hospitals across the country are reporting a significant increase in uninsured patients and unpaid medical bills. Major hospital executives say they are seeing a surge in patients arriving without health coverage. Enrollment in the Affordable Care Act is currently down about 13% this year. To offset losses, experts say hospitals will likely increase prices for those who are still enrolled, including plans offered by employers.
