Lee County traffic pattern changes coming Monday on Three Oaks Parkway

Drivers in Lee County should prepare for a traffic shift on the Three Oaks Parkway extension starting on Monday, weather permitting. The Lee County Department of Transportation announced that southbound traffic will move into the inside lane of the new southbound roadway. A map provided by officials shows the areas closed to traffic, marked in red, and outlines the updated traffic flow. The changes are part of the Three Oaks Parkway extension project, which looks to extend Three Oaks Parkway from Alico Road to Daniels Parkway and widen Daniels Parkway to eight lanes from Danport Boulevard to Powers Court. The project is currently ahead of schedule and is expected to be completed by spring 2028. Officials recommend giving yourself extra time and watching for new signs before your Monday morning commute.
