Mariner High School football coach under investigation, Lee County School Board member confirms

A coach with Cape Coral's Mariner High School football team has been placed on administrative leave, according to Armor Persons, chair of the Lee County School Board. In a statement, Persons said that the district immediately placed the coach on administrative leave and that there is a possible suspension or termination hearing in the future. It was not made immediately clear which football coach is under investigation, or the reason for the leave. Gulf Coast News has reached out to the School District of Lee County for more information.
