North Shore Park in North Fort Myers closes temporarily for gate installation

Lee County has announced that North Shore Park will close beginning Monday for the installation of a new automatic gate system. According to Lee County, the park will close from Monday, August 3 to Wednesday, August 5. It is expected to reopen on Thursday, August 6. During the closure, the park, located at 13001 North Cleveland Avenue, and its amenities will be inaccessible to ensure the safety of visitors and staff. During the closure, traffic loops and sensors, which are a part of the new gate system, will be installed. Lee County said the installation of the automatic gate is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance park operations and improve security. Visitors are asked to follow posted signage and avoid closed areas.
