SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) — An upcoming pattern change will lower morning rain chances while increasing the likelihood of afternoon thunderstorms.
Tuesday morning will feature a partly cloudy sky with a few showers possible. Afternoon temperatures will climb to around 90 degrees as scattered storms develop and push inland. The greatest rain coverage during the afternoon and evening will be along and east of I-75.
Rain coverage increases from 40% on Tuesday to 60% by Wednesday as winds shift out of the east. This will allow for more widespread afternoon and evening thunderstorms, with rain chances extending beyond our typical inland locations. High temperatures on Wednesday will reach the lower 90s.
