Charlotte County emergency services is experiencing a service interruption in its telephone system, interrupting 9-1-1 calls. Charlotte County said that 9-1-1 calls will be temporarily routed to Lee County while the issue is resolved. The county affirms that the outage will not prevent emergency services personnel from being dispatched for residents' emergencies. Anyone who needs to contact Charlotte County Sheriff's Office Administration is advised to call either 941-769-2495 or 239-478-4852. Charlotte County will issue an update when the issue is resolved.
