'IMAGine That!:' Slime Stoppers activity center educates visitors on protecting Florida waterways

In this week's "IMAGine That!", our friends at the IMAG History & Science Center showed us the Slime Stoppers Activity Center. It helps visitors learn how to protect Florida’s waterways by reducing stormwater runoff. Reducing stormwater runoff can help stop algae and slime in rivers, canals, and waterways. Friends at IMAG demonstrated how efforts are being made to keep water clean and healthy on the Gulf Coast, noting the significant work needed to curb nutrient pollution from industrial and agricultural sources. Kate, with IMAG, suggested skipping fertilizer as one of the most accessible individual actions to protect Florida's waterways from the slimy, slippery water crisis. IMAG's back-to-school bash takes place Saturday, August 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Kids visit for free with the purchase of an adult admission. For more information, visit the IMAG website.
